What’s On – Recurring Events
For one-off and special events check out our Instagram accounts: Granby Winter Garden and Granby Street Market
Granby Street Market
First Saturday of every month, except January, from 10am-3pm
Liverpool's most original and friendly community market, run entirely by volunteers is open on the first Saturday of every month from 10am to 3pm, showcasing the talents, spirit and diversity of the community. It has become a much loved event for local residents as well as the wider L8 region, attracting crowds from across the city. We hold a special Christmas market on the first weekend of December.
Granby Winter Garden Weekly Drop-in Hours
Every Sunday from 12-4pm, and Monday from 2-5pm and every Market Saturday
Whether as a space to engage in activity (read a book, work on your laptop), or reflective thought, or to enjoy the colours and scents – we hope you find Granby Winter Garden as useful as it is beautiful. We’re also often open on Tuesdays from 11am-1:30pm, and Thursdays 2pm-5pm – depending on special events and volunteer availability – feel free to send us a message to check, if you’re coming from afar!
Yoga with Nu Caratella
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6pm at the Granby Winter Garden
We have two weekly yoga classes led by local resident Nu Caratella of Heartstrong Yoga. £5 suggested donation. Text 07456 909400 for more details or to book a place.
Botanical Art Drop-in
Tuesdays, 1:30-4pm at the Granby Winter Garden
Write to us at wintergarden@granby4streetsclt.co.uk to check the session is running as it will sometimes skip a week or two.
Practice your drawing or painting (or any other artform) in the company of other artists – using the vibrant Winter Garden as your subject. This drop-in botanical art session is led by artist (and Winter Garden volunteer) Selma. These sessions are unstructured (no instruction provided) but welcome to artists of all abilities.
ESOL Discussion Group
Fridays, 9am-12pm at the Granby Winter Garden
A learner-led, multilingual ESOL class based on dialogue and valuing the knowledge and experience of all who attend. Our meetings centre on discussion and critical thinking about the issues which students collaboratively identify as being relevant to their daily lives. New participants are welcome to drop in to any session, or come to the end of the session (12 noon) if you want to chat 1:1 about the group first.
