Granby Street Market
Liverpool's most original and friendly community market, run entirely by volunteers is open on the first Saturday of every month from 10am to 3pm, showcasing the talents, spirit and diversity of the community. It has become a much loved event for local residents as well as the wider L8 region, attracting crowds from across the city. We hold a special Christmas market on the first weekend of December.
The stalls range from bric-a-brac, vintage clothes and memorabilia to handmade soaps, arts and crafts. There also also food stalls, selling hot international cuisine, and home cooked health

We have had the pleasure of running the Granby Street Markets for 15 years now!
The Granby Street Market in Toxteth, Liverpool, is a symbol of community resilience. It didn't start as a grand commercial venture, but rather as a radical act of community care.
The market first began in 2010. It started as a one-man table sale on Cairns Street, along with a few of his neighbors. At the time, only about eight households were still living on that street (and also the neighboring streets), surrounded by "tinned up" houses.
The market was founded by local residents and continues to be run by members of the local community. From its early days, the initiative was driven by residents working together to create a regular space for local traders, gradually expanding the number of stalls and participants as interest grew.
As the market developed, additional organisers joined the team in 2012, supporting its continued growth and helping to increase its reach within the neighbourhood.
In 2015, during renovation works on nearby housing, the market temporarily relocated to Ducie Street for approximately one year. The following year, in 2016, it returned to Granby Street. With more space available, the market was able to expand further and now regularly hosts around 70–80 traders each month.
Bookings
For stall bookings: New stallholders are asked to complete a trader form available here. Once we have received your form then you will be added to the potential traders list and will receive details on how to book a stall prior to each market.
